Hoy hoy! One of the hands-down best rawk interviews I've ever read, period! Even cooler: how it was serialized in 4 installments! I would find myself checking back for the next episode, like going to the movies for Saturday matinee to catch the next episode of the serial.

In all honest, I think the ACR/DD conversation was as least as good as any writer/musician interviews I've read (which is more than a few). I can't completely put my finger on exactly why, but I suspect it has something to do with the nature of this very site's draw and appeal. That is, DD is talking about a lot of experiences that I shared in, either directly (for example, discovering underground rock mags at a newsstand, or when the local radio station would "go underground" for a few hours late at night) or via proxy (I was in a small southern town as a kid, so I didn't have the same cultural options that someone living in the Miami did). I guess I just identify with him more than I identify with some rich coked up rock star....
