It depends on their life experience. If they’ve lived through extraordinary circumstances and come out of it in shape to write a memoir, it can be in their late 30s (e.g. The Color of Water, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius). If it’s just a person of prominence writing about their life, wait until their 60s.
