It is evermore important to respect the dead however, it is equally important to respect the living, while we still can. Not to mention, I liked the glasses!
I think people, writers mostly, look for skeletons in the closet when it comes to “icons.”
Of course, no one is perfect, in life or songwriting.
Yeah, John Lennon could have been a complete asshole 50 percent of the time, but that
is true for most people.
I like hearing stories of John being rude and creepy, it makes him human.
As far as ‘blowing’ songs that aren’t so great, most people listen to only listen to
the radio, so it makes sense they are compelled to worship very few ‘hit songs.’
