This week’s Top 6 + Top 10 is in memory of Gerry Goffin, and ably supplied by Bob Stanley (Gerry Goffin: six of his best songs) and Joyce Millman (Gerry Goffin 1939-2014), who pay tribute with respective lists. “Up on the Roof” by the Drifters is probably my own #1, followed closely by the Byrds’ version of “Goin’ Back.”
