The museum is now the repository of the largest collection of CREEM Magazine-related documents and artifacts in the world.
“It’s a great privilege to be part of this new ‘center of gravity’ for all things CREEM,” said Leslie Pielack, Birmingham Historical Museum Director. “We hope to continue to add to this collection to strengthen it and provide enhanced public access.”
To celebrate the collection, the museum is holding a two-part special event on Saturday, Nov. 1, called Get CREEMed! at the Museum.
The event will kick off at the Baldwin Public Library at 12:30 p.m. with presenter Susan Whitall, a rock critic who launched her career at CREEM and is now a music critic for the Detroit News.
