That excerpt does not appeal. “Spins quietly” my ass, and any “we’re all the same schmuck” tilt, as in Lenny Bruce’s use, is just one of his rhetorical devices.
Well, to be fair, I think “spins quietly” is likely pretty necessary given that the actor is addressing the audience over top (and if the point is to allow the audience to actually hear what he has to say).
